Meet Bud's Place Founders

Chairman/COO

Mark Cohen brings vast experience and  knowledge in publishing, recruitment, and  commercial Real Estate to the Bud's Place™  team. As Owner/Publisher/COO at JMR Publishing and Equality Magazines, Mark has been responsible for bringing clients the best diversity recruitment solutions. Mark is a well-respected source and influencer in recruiting when it comes to the following key issues: employer branding, diversity recruitment, targeted minority hiring, compliance, good faith efforts, corporate community outreach and best practices in recruitment advertising.

President/CFO

Ron Silberstein is a Certified Franchise Executive  (CFE) with over 20 years of experience in  franchising. He was a key part of the management team of a franchisor with 150+  units and $200,000,000 in system-wide revenue and has worked with many emerging franchise concepts as a trusted professional. His experience in franchising includes many areas of  franchising such as sales, training, store operations, trade shows, preferred vendor programs and many more. Ron was recently a speaker at the first ever “Cannabis and Franchising” educational session at an IFA Convention, and he was named a “Top Franchise Influencer.”

Director of Food & Beverage, Training

Samantha RIncione is the founder and CEO of Crave Hot Dogs & BBQ and, together with her husband Sal, has 35+ years of experience in franchising and multi-unit restaurant operations, both as multi-unit franchisees and as a franchisor and consultant. Sal has overseen New Concept Development, Store Design, Construction Management, and Real Estate Development and was responsible for the development of over 500 Red Mango Cafe locations within North and South America. Sam’s concepts have won many awards, including being named a “Top 100 Mover and Shaker” in Fast Casual Magazine.  She possesses a vast knowledge in Franchise Sales, Operations, Marketing, Social Media, Development, and Training.

Director of Governmental Intelligence

Gary Stein, MPH, received his Master’s in Public  Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of  Public Health in Health Education and Health  Policy. A native of Detroit, Gary has been a  blogger for the Huffington Post since 2009. He  has also written for Context Florida, Health News  Florida, Florida Politics, and Politics of Pot and continues to contribute to several blogs and magazines, including High Life and Revive. Gary is a well-known cannabis activist nationally and in Florida.  He has testified in Washington, D.C. and Tallahassee, Florida on numerous topics related to cannabis, and has helped draft and advise on rules and regulations related to cannabis production, sales, and use.

→ What is the Franchise Fee?

$75,000 for a single unit. There is a sliding scale for a multi-unit agreement.

→ Can I open multiple locations?

Yes! We encourage multi-unit operators.  Ask your sales rep about our current promotions.

→ Are territories available?

Yes! Please check with use re: availability for the territory you would like. And, for geographic areas that we are able to open franchises in but which have not yet approved a concept such as Bud’s Place™, we have an Option Agreement that could be entered into so you can lock up a territory.

→ Does Bud's Place™ train me?

Of course! At Bud’s Place™, we offer 3 weeks of training – 2 weeks at our corporate training location and 1 week at your location before and during your grand opening. We want you to be successful and know this is a team effort!

→ What is the total cost for a franchisee to open a Bud's Place location?

We estimate that your investment to open a single Bud’s Place™ will range between $526,000 and $1,070,000. The investment will vary based on many factors, including: size, location, license costs, air quality rules and more.

→ Do you have any special programs for Military Veterans?

Yes we do. Because we appreciate our veterans and know that they often make great franchisees, a Military Veteran can qualify for a discounted franchise fee and a royalty percentage discount.
